Historic Downtown Sparks will set the stage as 39 North Downtown hosts the Inaugural Sparks Folk Fest. This new free 2 day cultural festival will features nonstop unique live entertainment on several stages, art, crafts, specialty food & memory making family fun for all! Friday 5-5:30pm and Sat 3pm-3:45pm Live Puppet show by Dress Rehearsal. Sharing culture through the art of Puppetry, these puppet shows are for kids of all ages. Their fun interaction and plays bring laughter and keep the tradition of folktales alive. Here is just a sample of the incredible performances that will take place. Friday 6:30-7:30pm and Sat 6pm-7pm: The Wandering Menstruals The Wandering Menstruals will be taking the stage are folksy meets feminism with fun music. They bring a fresh take on classic covers & some originals tunes Featuring guitar, accordion, bass, ukulele, mandolin,& a bag of percussion that would impress Mary Poppins herself Sat 7pm-8pm: Robbie Fitzimmons With soaring vocals and lush piano arrangements, Robbie has been featured at festivals around the world including Glastonbury, Coachella, EDC & Electric Forest. In addition to all the art & craft vendors the Trading Post by Grand Artique will be open and ready for trades. With over a decade of experience, Grand Artique has assembled an exceptional roster of diverse creative talent that can conceptualize, consult and create for many types of experiences. Historic train tours and Engine 39 will have free train rides for all!
